An overview of
mixing technology

Advantages of mixing technology

In modern core shops, cost-effectiveness and efficiency matter.

Our  STATORMIX® mixers were developed to meet these requirements and deliver the best mixing results for optimum core strength.

In 3D printing, our state-of-the-art mixers guarantee perfect mixtures. Loose sand from the job box can be recycled using innovative extraction and conveying systems, thus conserving resources.

STATORMIX
technology

With its vertical drum, the STATORMIX offers a proven and efficient mixing principle with high mixing intensity. The high mixing intensity results from the intensive, three-dimensional movement of the sand within a two-chamber system with an interposed stator.

The mixer features highly wear-resistant components, achieved through a specialised manufacturing process. This ensures a long service life for the mixer lining and mixing tools during continuous operation. The lining segments and the mixing tool can be replaced individually.

The front cover can be opened fully and swung aside. This provides easy access to the entire interior of the mixer.

The mixing tool can be removed by loosening just one screw and can be cleaned very easily outside the mixer, e.g. in the blasting room.

Once the mixing cycle is complete, the entire quantity of sand is discharged from the mixer. Only a negligible amount of residual sand remains in the mixer. This allows different types of sand to be mixed one after the other without any cross-contamination.

The STATORMIX mixing leads to optimal mixtures in a short time. Savings in binder usage are possible. This results in good mouldability of the core sand, low gas release and easy core removal.

The homogeneity of the mixture is largely independent of the mixer’s fill level. The batch size can be adapted very well to the current core sand requirement. This ensures that freshly mixed core sand is always available.

Vibratory Mixer Technology

The vibratory batch mixer SM operates without any rotating parts in the mixing vessel – solely by means of vibrations transmitted from a special unbalanced motor via the mixing vessel to the material being mixed.

In a compact mixing system, the vibratory mixer, together with a volumetric sand dosing unit, daily binder tanks and a binder bellows dosing unit, is combined into a single compact unit. Depending on the required capacity, the compact plant can be equipped with one or more vibratory mixers.
