Sand Tempering and Dust Removal Equipment
The sand conditioner is used to cool or heat the sand while simultaneously removing dust. This optimizes the sand; negative effects caused by fluctuating sand temperatures and dust content on the entire core-making and casting process are eliminated. In most cases, sand conditioners are integrated into a system above a mixer or, as a central unit, supply multiple mixing stations. In the sand conditioner, the sand is fluidized from below with air and moves around the cooled or heated heat exchanger. The fluidization process carries unwanted dust particles upward out of the sand and feeds them into a filtration system.
